NOTE: This notice was updated on 14 December 2015 for the following reason: Text to be corrected in the original notice: Place of text to be modified: Procedure Instead of: Open Read: Negotiated, the justification; In accordance with the Procurement Regulations 2015 article 26.4 (b) and 26.7 (b), Telford & Wrekin will move from the Open Procedure to Negotiated Procedure for the Public Bus Services tender as advertised in OJEU reference 401254-2015 on 13.11.2015. The tender submitted exceeded the budget envelope. Other additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement. Providing Public transport is a specialist area and requires a professional approach. The Transport & Highways Development Team in partnership with Parish and Town Councils will offer advice and support to any Operator in this respect. Adherence to the terms and conditions in this document should ensure an appropriate level of service is provided. This includes protecting the general welfare of the passengers whilst travelling and ensuring they reach their destination safely and in exceptional circumstances assisting passengers boarding and alighting the vehicle.
