Tender description

1. 300mm insulation to be laid in attic, should 150mm insulation be already in place, lay another 150mm insulation at right angles to and on top of existing insulation. Insulate trap door. Ensure water tanks have rigid lids and are lagged. Insulate pipes in attic. Lagging to be 19mm thick. 2. Lag cylinder in hotpress (if required) and insulate primary pipework. 3. Ensure all room have wall vents or trickle vents in windows. Core 100mm ope in wall if required, vent grills to be controllable, apart from any room with solid fuel stove or internal gas/oil burner, where vent is to be fixed. Bathrooms and kitchens to have extract fans (as well as vent) fitted, if required. 4. External walls to be pumped with full fill platinum bead insulation. Insulation to have Agrement Board certification. Walls to be make good after pumping. 5. Draught proofing to be carried out • draught sealing strip to be fitted to attic trap door and bolts are to be fitted to compress the trap door onto the seal • silicone seal between window frame and window boards • Seals to be checked on windows and doors and replaced if necessary • Seal any gaps around waste pipes with expandable foam sealant. 6. All light bulbs to be replaced with long life quick start CFL bulbs. 7. BER certificate to be provided before and after works are carried out. NOTE: ALL WORKS ARE TO BE COMPLETE BY END NOVEMBER 2013
