A further competition was carried out under the Homes and Communities Agency Property Panel Framework. The Council has identified a number of significant ‘strategic’ assets both within the city centre and at key locations elsewhere within the city boundary that represent significant regeneration, commercial or disposal opportunities. The Council has also recently launched a new City Centre Masterplan setting out a vision and set of ambitions for the next 15 years. Each of these assets, whilst very different in detail, has the potential to promote the delivery of this Masterplan, or benefits to the wider city, and/or provide an income or capital receipt to the Council. Given their complexity, and in some cases the need to consider them from a regional or potentially national ‘player’ investment/occupier perspective, we are seeking advice and support in both how we take these assets forward and/or arrange their disposal (whether by sale, JV, etc).
