Tender description

Supply and delivery of prepared sandwiches and prepared bread products to individual delivery points. We would like to invite any interested parties to attend a meet the buyer session to discuss the tender opportunity in more detail. NHS Wales Procurement Services will use these sessions to provide a brief overview of the tendering process, together with an introduction to the draft contracting plan. We will highlight the proposed product list and basket structure, also providing additional information as to the pack sizes, labelling and packaging, nutritional and allergen requirements, and delivery points for each item or basket. This will support suppliers to gain an insight into the varied product required as part of this tender, this includes but is not limited to; - High quality patient sandwiches needing to comply with the All Wales Nutrition and Catering Standards for Food and Fluid for Hospital Inpatients (Welsh Government, 2011) including innovative, well packaged products. - Premium retail sandwiches including a range of healthy options for sale - A range of sandwich fillings for serving to patients and within the retail setting as an accompaniment to jacket potatoes, salads and within sandwiches, baguettes and wraps If you are interested in supplying sandwiches and sandwiching fillings to NHS Wales hospitals; please do not miss this opportunity.
