Tender description

Construct 60 Nr 8 m x 1 m x 0.4 m thick class 25 reinforced concrete roof slabs. The slabs are to be made off site, delivered to site, craned into their final position and fixed using dowel bars by the contractor. Estimated value excluding VAT: KSH 10,000,000 - KSH 13,000,000 Duration in months: 2 (from the award of the contract) Type of procedure: Restricted Envisaged minimum number of Tenderers: 3 and maximum number: 4 Objective criteria for choosing the limited number of candidates: Invitations to tender will be sent on the highest scoring companies following evaluation of information submitted against questions below. Questions: a) Provide full company name, registered office address, primary contact details and full name of all directors. (Yes/No) b) Provide overall company structure, including names and qualifications of key employees including, but not limited to, Managing Directors, Project Manager and all personnel with key trades relevant to the task advertised. (Pass/Fail) c) Demonstrate how you propose to complete the contracted work, include details for obtaining Kenyan Working Visas, for those employing third country nationals. (Pass/Fail) d) Provide details of any sub-contractors (including contact details) regularly used for specialist work such as concrete work. (Yes/No) e) Provide examples of similar previous projects, including point of contact and telephone number of clients. (Scored) f) Provide outline financial details of the previous trading year (Pass/Fail). g) Submit signed copy of statement of good standing (Pass/Fail). h) Submit current company insurance certificates (Yes/No). i) Submit a copy of your company health, safety and environmental policy (Scored). j) Provide an example of a crane lifting plan for the positioning of the slabs (Scored). k) Provide details of the curing technique required for these slabs (Scored). l) Provide details of the required concrete mix needed to produce C30 concrete (Scored).
