Tender description

Construction of a farmer's market covered Building (322m2 Gross Internal Floor Area), trader's bays and parking, roads and footpaths, upgrading of existing public roadways, watermain alterations, drainage alterations, site service alterations, diversion of existing site services, site lighting, street furniture, landscaping and planting, and other incidental site works. The works will also include for the demolition of the existing site structures and fittings, including the temporary relocation and reposition of the public toilet The existing market area and associated roads are to remain live throughout the contract until substantial completion of the new building and associated works has been certified. The contractor is to maintain all heat, power, light, sewage, water etc. to/from existing dwellings and premises at all times. Temporary Works include provision of site hoarding, temporary walkways and completing the work in phases to accommodate continued, uninterrupted use of the market area throughout the project duration. The existing underground drainage, watermain, and site services systems are to be maintained during the course of the works. The period from contract acceptance to substantial completion of all of the works shall be 34 calendar weeks. Prior to preparing and submitting a tender, potential tenderers should first check the criteria and minimum standards set out in the Clare County Council Suitability Assessment Declaration and satisfy themselves that they meet those standards.
