Refurbishment of Visitors Centre on First Floor of Drumshanbo Library Building to become Artist Studios

The Drumshanbo Library building is in the ownership of Leitrim County Council. The ground floor of this building comprises a library, while the first floor of the building was until recently used as the Slieve an Iarainn Visitors Centre. Leitrim County Council propose to refurbish the first floor of this building (approx 140sqm) from a visitor centre to become Artists' studios. The works involve demolition and stripping out the existing first floor space, remedial works to roof, external walls, windows and floors, Fire Safety upgrade works to protect central stairwell, existing external stairs, new partitions and associated works to create 3 no studios and ancillary space as well as associated remedial works at Ground Floor level and externally.
