Tender description

The scheme entails the construction of a new gyratory system at the location of an existing 5 arm roundabout, utilising the existing highway including carriageways, footways and verge areas. The works include: Excavation works, drainage, kerbing, street lighting, ducting, installation of traffic signals and carriageway construction, surfacing works, signing & lining. Works also include for the programming in, co-ordination and monitoring of public utilities who will be carrying out their diversion works required for the main scheme. It is important to the Authority that this project runs smoothly and that we achieve a completion date by the end of September 2016 as there is a local development which is expected to increase traffic flows to the area. The successful tenderer must ensure that the traffic flows constantly at this existing junction whilst the works are ongoing. The work requires a high level of experience of traffic and pedestrian management in an urban town environment. Consequently we are looking for a suitably experienced company who can start in January 2016, work with a positive, problem solving attitude and complete the work on time. <b>NOTE: The specification and technical drawings will be added to this tender tomorrow 16th October</b>
