Bolsover District Council Central Heating Upgrade Contract Works 2015 – 2018 (1 + 2 Yr Contract) Summary of Contract Works Bolsover District Council is seeking to appoint a principal contractor to carry out Central Heating Upgrade works to identified tenanted properties. The contract is to cover a three year term and will be arranged on a 1 + 2 year basis (progression after year one is subject to performance / contractor review). The budget for anticipated works of this contract is £1.2 million per annum. Works summary; generally to remove existing solid fuel / gas fired back boiler heating systems from council owned tenanted properties and install new condensing-combi boilers, electric boilers or solid fuel programmable systems as specified. The successful contractor will provide an emergency responsive service to undertake the replacement of all failed heating / boiler systems as instructed for the duration of the contract term. Works to council void properties will also be required on an ‘as and when’ basis and will require for the completion of full heating upgrades within existing timeframes currently set at three weeks from written instruction. Contract Tender Information Contractors are invited to tender for the opportunity of being selected by the council as the principal contractor, subject to review, for the duration of the three year Central Heating Upgrade contract term. The contractor with the most economic advantageous tender submission will be appointed to undertake all works. The evaluation of this tender is to be assessed on a 70% price and 30% quality basis. All replacement boilers are to be covered by a five year guarantee defect warranty period. Please note: All documentation included in the ITT is to be returned
