Z/2150 Montague Burton Residences – Full Refurbishment

Tender description

Montague Burton Flats were built in 1990, and comprise an enclosed site of 13 blocks with a total of 483 student bedrooms arranged in 97 x 5 bed cluster flats (2 flats are DDA adapted with 4 beds). All flats are practically identical but the number of flats per block varies throughout the site. The table below shows the number of existing flats and bedrooms, along with the proposed number of bedrooms. The approximate gross internal floor area for all blocks is 9,500m². The project will comprise the refurbishment of all blocks at the Montague Burton Residences over a 3 year period. The aim is to create more social space for students by converting the existing 5 bedroom flats into either one large 9 bedroom flat (combining 2 Nr flats) or one 4 bedroom flat.
