Tender description

The works are to undertake improvement works to the existing junction in order to increase its future capacity. <b><u>Planned Work</u></b> <b><u></u></b> <b><u></u></b>The works will comprise:- Undertake carriageway widening works including new kerblines on the approaches to the junction; New carriageway construction adjacent to widened kerblines including Installation of Type 1 compacted sub-base, HDM Base Course and HDM Binder Course and a High Friction Surface Course; Creation of new pedestrian islands on the approaches; New controlled crossing points including toucan crossings; Creation of new footways, cycleway and shared use footway / cycleway; Statutory Undertakers Apparatus diversionary works, where required; Installation of new traffic signals; Installation of new surface water gullies and connections to existing surface water drainage system; New road markings and refreshing existing road markings where required; Surface Inlay / reinstatement.
