Mansfield District Council - Charlsworth Court - Proposed Refurbishment of Communal Entrance Areas

Tender description

The proposed works are to refresh the communal entrance and stairs areas of 7 blocks of flats, each with two flats downs stairs and two flats upstairs. The work consists of taking up of existing thermoplastic floor tiles with Asbestos content, replacement of stair nosing’s, painting stair risers and strings, paint existing ceilings which are currently painted with Artex with Asbestos content, supply and fit new vinyl floor tile coverings, upgrade internal light fittings including PIR and daylight censors, acid clean existing internal access corridor brickwork, replace rubber capping to handrails, paint steel balustrading on internal stairwells, as described on the contract drawings and schedule of works. There is a one week programme for each block of flats which equals seven weeks with a one week contingency, giving a total of eight weeks for the full scheme.
