Grangeway Court - Refurbishment of single storey accommodation blocks

<b>Background</b> Halton Borough Council seeks expressions of interest from suitably experienced contractors wishing to be considered for tendering for work as outlined below. Budget estimate £350,000. Description of Work: Grangeway Court is a small sheltered scheme of single story buildings with 4 no accommodation units per block, within a secure environment, in Runcorn. The proposal is generally the refurbishment of four of the accommodation blocks, including part conversion work to modify sizes of some units. The main contractor will be responsible for the construction, coordination and installation of the work complete, including services, heating, internal work, envelope work etc. Contractors returning a PQQ will have their submissions evaluated following which a tender list of a minimum of 6 contractors may be invited to tender for the work based on highest PQQ scores. The work will be tendered as a traditional lump sum fixed price contract and the anticipated form of contract is the JCT Standard Building Contract 2011. It is expected that the selected contractors will be invited to tender in September 2015.
