Supply and Installation of Outdoor Gym Equipment and Surfacing (North)

Tender description

1. Specification – General • All equipment to be designed and solely manufactured in the UK . All equipment should come with a certificate or origin or equivalent to prove that it is manufactured in the UK (even if the substantive amount of work is carried out in the UK). • Show evidence where inclusive fitness initiative guidelines have been followed on both equipment design and signage • Show evidence that equipment is safe for users under 1.4m in height even if the equipment has been designed with adults in mind. • Examples of previous installations within a 5 mile radius of London SW9 should be given so that equipment can be inspected. • All gym equipment to be certified to EN16630 as a minimum, and designed to BSI PASS888. • All equipment should be fully inclusive. • All equipment should come with a minimum 25 year warranty • All equipment should include signage, including user instructions and QR codes. • Cross Trainer, Hand Bike and Recumbent Bike should include energy producing options. • Gym surface will be either Grass matting to high traffic areas or tarmac / concrete made good (anticipated surface area will be between 20m2 and 26m2 dependant on equipment selection) and painted with non slip paint – colour to be specified • All contractors / installers must adhere to standard H&S practices, and preferably be CHAS registered. • Price to include full Installation plus a post installation safety inspection. • The successful supplier must be able to carry out the above works from start to finish and all works must be completed by October 2015. The estimated value of the works is £50K. • The quotations will be evaluated against meeting specification (65%) and cost (35%) 2.
