UCC hereby issues this information in accordance with the requirements of EC directive 2004/18/EEC (open procedure) to appoint a Design & Build Works Contractor for the supply & Installation of an Acoustic Testing Booth to Audiology Room at Brookfield Health Sciences Complex, UCC. The project will be tendered in 2 no Lots. This Notice relates to Lot 1 Acoustic Testing Booth to Audiology Room The project consists of the conversion of the existing language & phonetics Lab into an Audiology Clinic in the Brookfield Health Sciences Building in UCC. The clinic will consist of an Audiometric Examination Room , Observation Room & Write Up area. The Facility will be used by the HSE as a consultation Clinic and by UCC for educational purposes. The Audiometric Examination room is a proprietary, structurally isolated, fully sound insulated pod which is built “insitu” into the existing room. The internal D which facilitates testing a parent and child with up to 2 clinical examiners. Lot 1 includes the following works to Testing Booth • Design, fabrication, site installation, testing & commissioning of Acoustic Testing Booth inclusive of walls & wall lining, 2 no doors, vision panels, ceilings, roofs, skirting etc. • Design , supply ,site installation, testing & commissioning of specialist ventilation system within testing booth to agreed interface point. • Design, fabrication, site installation, testing & commissioning of Electrical Installations within testing booth comprising roof mounted junction boxes, lighting & emergency lighting, general services installation, fire alarm/voice evacuation, audio intercom installation & examination light installation • Lay carpet within booth supplied Free Issued by UCC.
