Penrose Student Accommodation Refurbishment - Summer 2015

Royal Holloway, University of London is seeking a main contractor for the delivery of summer refurbishment works within one of its Student Halls, north of the College's main campus in Egham, Surrey (TW20 0EX). Penrose Student Halls of Residence comprises of 26 houses and 12 flats that house between 4-6 people. The buildings were constructed in the late 1980’s. The works will look to cover the following: • Refurbish 38 bathroom and toilet areas and reviewing better use of space. • Refurbish 38 Kitchen areas and provide better use of space. There is a kitchen that was refurbished a year ago that should be used as a standard going forward with minor tweaks. The kitchen is based in No. 34 • Decorations throughout including 200 study bedrooms and common areas • New flooring • Review and recommendations on new LED lighting • New/additional furniture to limited areas. • New fire detection system back to a central point.
