RE04579 - PARK CENTRE AND LIBRARY REFURBISHMENT

Tender description

The Works comprise the following:- Renew all pitched roofing Timber structural repairs Renew some flat roof coverings Renewal of roof insulation Asbestos removal from the roof space Rebuilding masonry gable walls in salvaged bricks and stone Renewal of cast iron gutters and down pipes Repairs and repointing to a large industrial sized brick chimney Internal refurbishment to include, replastering water damaged walls and ceilings Repair and renewal of suspended ceilings Repairs and renewal to electrical, mechanical, heating, alarm and security installation and systems The Contractor will be expected to utilise subcontractors and suppliers from the Sheffield area as much as practically possible and this will be a key question in the evaluation process. The Client will employ Clerks of Works to oversee the work and sample checks will be made as applications for payment. Site checks will also be made during progress of the works. The Form of Contract will be JCT Minor Works 2011 edition including all standard City Council amendments and obligations. The scheme budget is approximately £500,000.
