Repairs to Glandore Pier and Slipway

Tender description

Reapirs to Glandore Pier, slipway and quay walls at Glandore, Co. Cork including: (a)high pressure power washing (jet washing) and scrapping to remove of all organic matter including shellfish from the stonework and joints of all sections of wall, quay and slipway to be repaired; (b)replacement of missing stonework in the walls with new (or sound, recovered) sawn sandstone blocks and make-up stone; (c) repointing of the stone masonry outer face of the walls using a natural hydraulic lime mortar; (d)grouting of the walls, quay and slipway base using a pumped natural hydraulic lime grout; (e)repair of damaged corner of pier with concrete bagwork and new concrete cap flush with adjoining surfaces; (f)the construction of a new concrete slab at the top of the quay and at the base of the slipway slipway with filled and sealed joints to adjoining surfaces; (g) the provision of 10 no. stainless steel mooring rings in the vertical face of new concrete slipway surface.
