Investigative Contract for survey of Westmeath Council houses for the presence of Asbestos Containing Materials

Tender description

Westmeath County Council will be refurbishing and demolishing a number of houses in the next 2 years and wishes to appoint a contractor to conduct a survey for the presence of asbestos containing materials ACMs throughout this period. It estimates that it will refurbish/demolish approx 80 to 100 houses per year.The survey will identify: • the presence of all asbestos containing materials (ACMs) in the house, • sample test materials as required, • provide survey report and risk assessment for materials to be removed and for those to remain in place, • safe method for removal and disposal of ACMs, • Air monitoring during removal process, • Site Clearance Certification, • Safety File containing an Asbestos Management Plan.
