RFT: Provision of Services for Complaints Officer to the SFPA

Tender description

The Authority intends to establish an agreement with one service provider for the provision of Complaints Officer Services as required by Section 49 of the Sea-Fisheries and Maritime Jurisdiction Act 2006 (http://www.irishstatutebook.ie/2006/en/act/pub/0008/sec00 49.html#sec49). This Request for Tender (RFT) issued by the Sea Fisheries Protection Authority invites suitably qualified suppliers: • To undertake to provide services to act as SFPA Complaints Officer (the Officer) and shall be contactable by phone, e-mail and post independent to the SFPA both in the English and Irish languages. • This contract is for an initial period of one-year with a further four-year extension, subject to an annual review by the Authority and at its sole discretion to continue or conclude the contract, as required. • Consider the application of Section 49 to any complaint received and, if appropriate, duly consider and furnish a report to the Authority on any complaint made by or on behalf of a member of the public in relation to the enforcement of sea-fisheries law or food safety law; and for the Officer to choose to make further enquiries of the SFPA or the Complainant. • The Section 49 Service provision will be a part of the overall Authority Complaints Procedures along with internal resolution mechanisms, and the Government Ombudsman. A copy of the SFPA’s Complaints Policy is attached in Appendix II of the full RFT document. • To be available to attend an scheduled annual review meeting. • To provide a monthly analysis report to the Board of the Authority.
