Wider than the phrase suggests. In the notices sampled for this page it covers respite and community support for adults, floating support tied to homelessness and supported housing, direct payment support, mediation panels and in-hospital companion schemes. A minority are equipment maintenance-and-support agreements that happen to use the same words, so filter before you read.

300 at the last count, out of 41,026 notices across every stage. 19,131 of those are awarded contracts. The more useful number for planning is 4,471 pre-tender notices: a pre-tender tells you a contract is coming before the tender itself opens, which is where the lead time is.

No single code does. The sampled notices lean on 85300000 (Social work and related services), 85312000 (Social work services without accommodation) and 85000000 (Health and social work services). Codes are not used as a filter on this page. Pairing them with the keywords cuts the results roughly in half, and it drops on-intent notices that carry no code at all.

Often. Plenty of the notices here set up an approved-provider framework or a dynamic list rather than a single contract, so the win is getting onto the list and the work arrives later as call-offs. In Stotles' 2026 Supplier Benchmark Report, 44% of suppliers named frameworks as their main route to market. Check whether the notice in front of you is the framework or the call-off.
