Roofing Tenders and Contracts
See open roofing tenders and awarded contracts for the UK public sector.
Roofing procurement covers flat and pitched roof replacement, re-roofing, and roof repair and maintenance, plus the materials and contractor frameworks councils, housing associations, schools and NHS trusts use to keep buildings watertight. Most of what reaches the market is planned or reactive work on stock already in use, not new-build roofing.
There are 159 open roofing tenders now, out of 23,512 notices recorded to date.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions about roofing, roof repairs, roof replacement, flat roofing, re-roofing, roofing works, roofing contractor, commercial roofing in the UK public sector.
How do I find roofing tenders in the UK?
Two ways in. Search public and private portals for live roofing tenders, or move earlier: buyer strategy documents and budget papers often flag a re-roofing or repairs programme months before the tender goes live. Track those signals, then build the bid before the listing appears. Stotles indexes both the live notices and the documents behind them.
What CPV codes cover roofing work?
Most roofing notices carry 45260000, roof works and other special trade construction works, or 45261900, roof repair and maintenance work. Roofing materials contracts, separate from installation, use 44112500. All three show live tender and award activity on Stotles.
What kind of roofing work goes out to tender?
The bulk of it is planned and reactive maintenance on buildings already in use: flat roof replacement on housing blocks, re-roofing on schools, asbestos removal ahead of a new roof, and repair work following storm damage or a failed survey. New-build roofing appears mostly as a line item inside a wider construction contract rather than its own notice.
Who buys roofing services in the public sector?
Local authorities and housing associations account for most of the volume, largely stock maintenance on council and social housing. Schools, NHS trusts and heritage bodies also tender roofing work regularly, usually smaller single-building jobs rather than multi-year programmes.
Are there roofing frameworks in place of individual tenders?
Yes. Framework agreements for roofing contractors and for roofing materials are common at local authority and housing association level, with individual repair or replacement jobs issued as call-offs under the framework rather than as fresh open tenders. Watching the framework awards, not just the open notices, catches work that never appears as a standalone tender.
