Frameworks carry most of the volume. NEPO411 is the North East Procurement Organisation's framework for the supply of furniture, split into lots for office, education, residential, tough and ergonomic furniture. Universities call off against the APUC Sustainable Furniture Framework and the NWUPC Furniture Framework, colleges buy through the CPC Furniture and Associated Services Framework Agreement, and Scotland Excel and Welsh Government Commercial Delivery both run their own all-nation agreements for education and office furniture.

Furniture tenders are catalogued under CPV 39100000 (Furniture), 39130000 (Office furniture) and the broader 39000000 (Furniture, incl. office furniture, furnishings, domestic appliances and cleaning products), plus narrower codes for categories such as school furniture, chairs, desks and lockers where buyers tag them precisely enough.

Office desks, chairs and storage make up the bulk of it, but the mix runs wider: classroom and library furniture for schools and colleges, bedroom and lounge furniture for care and residential settings, and lockers or bins for facilities teams doing wider refits. Many notices bundle several categories into one lot rather than splitting them out.
