Tender description

The Scottish Ministers, Marine Directorate invite tenders for the purchase of athree motion compensated marine sea-going bench weighing scales that will be used for scientific fisheries surveys on the Marine Directorate’s research vessels and chartered commercial vessels.Marine sea-going weighing scales are essential for the accurate data collection of fish catches and fish individual weights on statutory Marine Directorate (MD) fisheries surveys. The scales will be used on all of the five annual International Bottom Trawl Surveys (IBTS) that MD undertakes as well as other similar multivessel surveys such as the SIAMISS (Science/Industry Anglerfish and Megrim Survey) and the Scottish Deepwater Slope Survey.
