As part of the Operational Improvement Programme, there is a clear requirement to modernise and consolidate placement management through a single, integrated Student Placement System supporting the full placement lifecycle.<br /><br />The University operates a large and complex placement function, particularly within Health and Social Care, supporting:<br />• Over 5,200 students per year<br />• Approximately 23,000 placement allocations annually<br />• Multiple placement types, cohorts, providers and regulatory obligations<br />Placement activity is currently supported by a fragmented system landscape, including:<br />• Tribal SITS (student record system)<br />• NHS systems (SDCT, PARE)<br />• Blackboard and PebblePad<br />• Significant reliance on manual processes and spreadsheets<br />This landscape:<br />• Is operationally inefficient and resource intensive<br />• Increases risk to data quality, compliance and reporting<br />• Limits capacity forecasting, progression tracking, and scalability<br /><br />
