Tender description

Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council (“the Council”) invites Tenders from suitably experienced and qualified organisations to deliver the requirements detailed in the provided Specification. Lagan Valley LeisurePlex is a large visitor attraction based in Lisburn. It is a multi-use centre offering a range of indoor activities for both adults and children, including swimming and sporting activities. The centre houses three pools which require a large quantity of chemicals to successfully operate. Our main chemical storage requirement is for Sodium Hypochlorite. We currently have four storage containers on site for this chemical. Our chemical room houses two tanks – a “day” tank and a large storage tank, which are both connected by a pipe and valve arrangement. Additional storage comes in the form of two 1000 litre intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) stored in an external yard area adjacent to the chemical room (Appendix 1 Figure 1). We wish to expand this storage capacity and streamline the transfer process. Two tanks are required – one external bulk tank and one internal tank. This tender competition will be let in line with the stipulations of the Procurement Act 2023 (herein after referred to as ‘the Act’).
