Tender description

The appointment of a works contractor to undertake adaptation works at CSL to accommodate a new link to the proposed replacement footbridge being built by Transport for Wales (TfW) for Cathays Station. The new footbridge will provide a compliant accessible route across the railway tracks via the northern CSL stairwell and terrace at the first floor for railway passengers, students, university staff and the public.The works specification covers the following key work elementsNew anti-slip floor and stair coverings including hazard warning pavingAdditional stairwell handrailsInstallation of new auto doors (Ground Floor & First Floor)Lighting upgradesAdditional CCTV cameras and associated infrastructureMinor improvements within the stairwell to prevent anti social behaviour, rough sleeping etc.Associated upgrades to security systems, fire systems, access controls and M&E works
