A national review is being undertaken for the specification & standardisation of uniforms & workwear. The research project is focused on station wear and personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure that it meets the needs of our firefighters when dealing with their ever-widening field of operations, it will also look at new innovative designs and the potential for a singular national uniform that within its design that demonstrates inclusivity and promotes recruitment and retention from diverse communities.??? It was hoped that the findings of the project would be published Q4 2024/Q1 2025 however it is only the PPE element that has been achieved, the station wear element is still yet to be?conducted.? The framework that CFRS?are?currently?using?was let by Corserv, this?has?now?expired?and been replaced, the replacement framework?is unsuitable for use by the service.? Keywords: fire workwear
