The culvert is 92 m long and comprises of a corrugated steel arch set on concrete abutments with a dished concrete base set at an average gradient of 1:59. The Danny Burn is an important tributary of the Allan Water and the A9 culvert has been identified as a barrier to fish passage which requires improvements to fish passage.
