This specification outlines the requirements for implementing a modern, wireless medical temperature monitoring system across the North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT). The primary objective of this system is to ensure the safe and secure storage of medicines and clinical supplies, which must be maintained within strict temperature ranges to preserve efficacy and comply with regulatory standards. The proposed solution will replace the existing temperature monitoring infrastructure, which has not been upgraded or maintained since its initial deployment. The new system must deliver accurate, real-time temperature data for all medical refrigerators and designated drug storage areas, providing 24/7 remote monitoring and full data visibility. This will enable proactive management, reduce compliance risks, and support adherence to national and local governance requirements.
