Tender description

The Council's Enterprise and Sustainable Development, Community and Enterprise Resources identified a requirement to appoint a suitable specialist contractor for the construction of 2 industrial units and associated yardage, parking, and landscaping at Cathcart Road, Rutherglen, South Lanarkshire. Lot 1: In order to secure best value for the Council, the identified most effective route to market as a Quick Quote for Works for up to 2000000 GBP under Standing Order 3.2. This provided the Council with access to established contractors in this area, as well as allowing local SMEs to participate in the tender process in line with the Councils efforts to improve community outcomes through increase spend with local SMEs. Tenders were invited on a Price/Quality basis. The successful Bidder is the one who achieves the highest combined quality / price score. The form of contract is SBCC Standard Building Contract With Quantities for use in Scotland (SBC/Q/Scot), 2016 Edition, incorporating Amendment 1, February 2018.
