The contracting authority is seeking to award a contract for the provision of a Talent Acceleration Programme (“Accelerate”) for Devon and Cornwall Police and Dorset Police This procurement exercise is being undertaken for the provision of a Contractor to design and deliver the Talent Acceleration Programme (“Accelerate”) for Devon and Cornwall Police and Dorset Police. The purpose is to establish a Contract with a single provider to deliver the services and requirements detailed in this specification and represent best value for money. As part of the commitment to developing talent across Devon & Cornwall Police and Dorset Police, both Forces are investing in the development of high-potential managers to ensure a pipeline of future talent to the Forces. This investment will support both officers and police staff at all levels. The Talent Acceleration Programme (“Accelerate”) will be targeted towards first line management level (Sergeants and Police Staff Equivalent). The programme will support the development of high-potential individuals who have been identified as having the potential (ability and engagement) and aspiration to become senior leaders in the future. It will support the identification and planning of the development needs of participants through a range of development activities and mentoring to assess their strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for development. The Accelerate Programme is designed to support individuals progressing to middle management. It will enable them to have greater self-awareness (their style, emotional state, preferences). It will raise their awareness of emotional intelligence, dynamics, problem solving, decision making, stakeholder management, delegation, empowerment, influencing change, building buy-in as well as the importance of building professional networks. It will focus on their development plan.
