Delivery of advocacy support to the Leeds Gypsy and Traveller population. the post reaches marginalised communities and isolated community members via outreach including visiting Gypsy/Traveller sites and roadside camps. Lot 1: The Contract Authority; NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board has awarded a contract under Direct Award Process A. The authority is publishing this notice in Find a Tender in accordance with the NHS Provider Selection Regime. <br/>Service: Advocacy Support, Leeds GATE<br/>Contract Term: 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2030<br/>Contract Value: £294,397<br/><br/>Rationale for contract award:<br/>There are no realistic alternatives to re- commissioning the existing provider because Gypsies and Travellers are recognised as ethnic minority groups under the Race Relations Act (as amended in 2000) and are considered to have ‘protected characteristics’ under the 2010 Equality Act.<br/><br/>A primary focus of this service is providing advocacy support to enhance the health and wellbeing of this community.<br/><br/>This contract is within the scope of PSR, and direct award A route will be used to directly award the contract to Leeds Gypsy and Traveller Exchange (Leeds GATE).<br/><br/>The current provider is the existing service provider for the services related to these proposed contracting arrangements. The ICB is confident that only the current provider can deliver this service due to the specific needs of the population group. Additional information: This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) confirmation of contract award notice. This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.
