Tender description

London Underground (and other parts of TfL) uses RSSB membership services in support of health and safety initiatives and includes participation in a wide range of industry groups and provides access to data and content that is only available to RSSB members. RSSB provides industry-wide working groups for engineering, asset management and sustainability and TfL is an active participant in these working groups via the RSSB membership. Affiliate membership of RSSB provides TfL SHE with direct access to a wide range of information, services and industry standard tools that will enable it to better manage many of its key health and safety risks as well as an opportunity to influence wider industry decision-making. In doing so, TfL can operate in accordance with industry best practice informed by significant research, as well as avoid the costs associated with developing its own bespoke tools. . In respect of the Elizabeth line, the regulator ORR (Office Rail and Road) requires that the RfLI, as Infrastructure Manager of the Elizabeth Line, hold affiliate membership of the RSSB. The need for the Elizabeth Line to have its own specific subscription to the RSSB is due to having a separate operational Rule Book for the Central Operating Section (COS) RfLI is the Infrastructure Manager of the Elizabeth line Central Operating Section (COS) which runs between Paddington, Pudding Mill Lane and Abbey Wood. The COS forms part of the UK Rail Network and under legislation is designated as Main Line Interoperable railway. RfLI as the designated Infrastructure Manager requires Safety Authorisation, granted by the ORR (Office of Rail and Road), to operate the railway. ## Contract award Title: Affiliate agreement for Elizabeth line ## Contract award Title: Affiliate agreement for TfL Health and Safety ## Contract award
