Lot 1: Endodontics and Periodontics Service NHS Essex Integrated Care Board has modified an existing General Dental Services (GDS) contract for the provision of primary dental services, including routine, urgent and preventative dental care, in accordance with NHS dental service requirements, to include Level 2 Endodontics and Periodontics Services for a minimum of two years, and at a maximum for the remaining duration of the contract. The contract was originally awarded 1 April 2006. As a GDS contract, it is in perpetuity, therefore there is no fixed end date. For the purposes of calculating the lifetime contract value in accordance with regulatory and reporting requirements, NHS Essex Integrated Care Board applies a 30-year notional duration, and has therefore has selected an 'end date' of 31/03/2036 at II.2.7. As such, the lifetime value of the original contract is £27,226,133.72 (excluding VAT), calculated on the basis of a 30-year notional contract duration for this open-ended GDS contract, based on an annual value of £906,958.
