Contract for the Provision of Governance Effectiveness Review

Tender description

The review will support the University Board in enhancing its ways of working, reinforcing practices that promote high-quality governance, strategic oversight, and long-term organisational success; and The review will fulfil RGU’s commitment to conduct a board effectiveness review, in line with SFC Expectations of Good Governance 2025 Lot 1: The review will assess: 1. the Board’s current ability to effectively discharge its functions and duties as the governing body of Robert Gordon University, including its composition, capabilities, behaviours, and approach to decision-making, with a view to identifying strengths and areas for development; 2. whether the Board demonstrates good governance (compliance with the Financial Memorandum and Code of Good HE Governance) and accountability, including ownership of strategy and Roadmap to 2030, the institutions’ performance, proactive risk management, and value for money. 3. Whether the Board and it’s Committees has clear and appropriate mechanisms for agile risk identification, mitigation and reporting 4. whether the University has clear and appropriate whistleblowing and conflict of interest policies
