Tender description

Westminster City Council is preparing to tender a new contract for ManSafe, Collective Edge Protection and working-at-height systems, currently delivered between a main contractor and a sub-contractor. The new contract aims to improve transparency, compliance, and value for money, and will be tendered under the Procurement Act 2023. Key Objectives for WCC are to: • Ensure statutory compliance and safety across the estate. • Improve procurement ethics and transparency. • Enable direct market access for specialist providers. • Compile a reporting tool for equipment and status. • A comprehensive approach to inspections and status. • Align with Responsible Procurement principles (social value, sustainability, inclusion). Currently Westminster spreads its ManSafe requirement across existing contracts to meet our safety requirements. Despite reaching compliance under these existing contracts, we cannot centralise the data in terms of repairs, maintenance, inspections and locations requirements.
