Tender description

Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (TTP) is a serious blood disorder with rapid onset, that results in blood clots forming in small blood vessels throughout the body. Services are required to have a programme of outreach and education to improve timely diagnosis and referral. There is a small population with a congenital form of the disease who require ongoing treatment and monitoring. <br/>Patients need to be able to access specialist care with 24/7 access to apheresis and a specialist team. Patients need to start in treatment within 4/8 hours of a referral to the specialist centre.
