Tender description

The University of Strathclyde has a requirement for supply, delivery, installation, commissioning, and demonstration of operation to Lead Technician of a new Energy Dispersive X-ray detector (EDS), replacing an existing in situ SEM detector, which has reached end-of-life (EOL).e. This is being undertaken by the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) – Advanced Forming Research Centre (AFRC), for the Advanced Microscopy and Metrology Laboratory (Lab 4 - AF112). The lab provides predominantly metallographic sample analysis via Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), to support academic research, and commercial industrial projects.
