Modification Notice Published - Copy located in attachments. Modification Notice published to notify extended contract for a period of 6 months as below. Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire (Art. 43(1)(b) of Directive 2014/23/EU, Art. 72(1)(b) of Directive 2014/24/EU, Art. 89(1)(b) of Directive 2014/25/EU) The Secretary of State for Defence intends to modify the Specialist Infrastructure Technical Support (SITS) 701485390 contract by extending the contract by a period of six-months in accordance with The Public Procurement (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 SI No. 2020/1319, this procurement falls to be regulated under the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (“PCR 2015”) as amended (in particular by SI 2020/1319). Publication of a modification notice in the Official Journal of the European Union is no longer appropriate. It is considered that the modification of this contract is permitted in accordance with regulation 72(1)(b) of the PCR 2015 as the amendment is for additional services by the original contractor that have become necessary and a change of contractor cannot be made for made for economic or technical reasons. Further a change in contractor would cause both significant inconvenience and substantial duplication of costs for the Authority. Any increase in price from the modification does not exceed 50% of the value of the original contract.
