Tender description
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (“NHSGGC” or “the Board”) intends to establish a Board-wide framework agreement for the provision of fire door services across its Sectors. The proposed framework will encompass the supply, installation, repair, replacement, maintenance, inspection, compliance, and survey of fire doors, in accordance with the BM TRADA Q-Mark Fire Door Installation Scheme, the BM TRADA Q-Mark Fire Door Maintenance Scheme, and all applicable statutory and industry standards. Lot 1: South Sector This PIN from The Board is to establish the number of suitably qualified suppliers that can demonstrate relevant third-party certification and competence in the installation and maintenance of fire doors. As a minimum, fire doors and door sets supplied, installed, maintained, repaired, or replaced under the framework shall be supported by appropriate certification and evidence of compliance with BS 8214, BS 476-20:1987, BS 476-22, and BS EN 1634:2014, as applicable to the works being undertaken. Lot 2: North Sector This PIN from The Board is to establish the number of suitably qualified suppliers that can demonstrate relevant third-party certification and competence in the installation and maintenance of fire doors. As a minimum, fire doors and door sets supplied, installed, maintained, repaired, or replaced under the framework shall be supported by appropriate certification and evidence of compliance with BS 8214, BS 476-20:1987, BS 476-22, and BS EN 1634:2014, as applicable to the works being undertaken. Lot 3: Clyde Sector This PIN from The Board is to establish the number of suitably qualified suppliers that can demonstrate relevant third-party certification and competence in the installation and maintenance of fire doors. As a minimum, fire doors and door sets supplied, installed, maintained, repaired, or replaced under the framework shall be supported by appropriate certification and evidence of compliance with BS 8214, BS 476-20:1987, BS 476-22, and BS EN 1634:2014, as applicable to the works being undertaken. The scope of the framework will include planned and reactive works, comprising statutory maintenance, routine inspections, repairs, replacements, and associated compliance surveys. Appointed suppliers will also be required to provide unplanned reactive maintenance and emergency call-out support on a 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year basis, where required. A key requirement of the framework will be the inspection and survey of fire doors across the NHSGGC estate to support ongoing compliance with relevant fire door certification requirements, manufacturer’s instructions, and applicable fire safety legislation and guidance Lot 4: Partnerships and HSCP to include Gartnavel Hospital Campus This PIN from The Board is to establish the number of suitably qualified suppliers that can demonstrate relevant third-party certification and competence in the installation and maintenance of fire doors. As a minimum, fire doors and door sets supplied, installed, maintained, repaired, or replaced under the framework shall be supported by appropriate certification and evidence of compliance with BS 8214, BS 476-20:1987, BS 476-22, and BS EN 1634:2014, as applicable to the works being undertaken.
