The survey requirement includes Automatic Traffic Counts and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR). The survey requirement includes Automatic Traffic Counts and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR). The aim is to form two cordons around Glasgow to understand the routes taken by vehicles travelling to and through the city on the motorway network. The outer cordon is intended to understand the strategic routes taken by vehicles while the inner cordon is intended to understand the proportions of vehicles leaving or joining the motorway between Junctions 15 and 19 inclusive.
