The Sanctuary is an out‑of‑hours mental health service based at Gloucester House, Southmead Hospital, providing a safe and supportive space for people aged 16 and over experiencing serious emotional distress; it operates Thursday to Monday from 5pm to midnight and offers face‑to‑face support from 6pm, giving individuals the opportunity for 1:1 sessions, quiet space, activities, and light refreshments, with staff also able to signpost to other services and attend professional meetings when invited; service users can receive three pre‑booked preventative support sessions, and the service supports people across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. Lot 1: NHS Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset ICB are using this notice as an intention to award notice. Direct Award C has been used for the award of this contract. The existing provider is satisfying the original contract and will likely satisfy the proposed new contract. The services provided are the service specification are not changing considerably. NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Gloucestershire ICB are currently working together in a formal "clustering" arrangement to prepare for their merger into a single, new organisation (name to be confirmed), effective from 1st April 2027.
