Flying Start Procured Childcare Places Approved List

Tender description

From September 2022, the Flying Start programme will be expanded to reach up to 2,500 more children aged 0 to 4 by increasing the Flying Start target areas in every local authority in Wales. To meet this target, Newport City Council is expanding the Flying Start childcare provision in Newport with a particular emphasis on strengthening Welsh-medium provision. The Council are seeking to retender for an approved list of childcare providers in Newport which will operate from 1 May 2025 until 23 February 2029. The approved list will as previously be established using a Dynamic Purchasing System in accordance with the Public Procurement Regulations 2015. This is the first round, and current and new providers in market are able to apply. A second round will be issued in May 2025 and will remain open until 23. February 2029.
