Provision of Educational Video on the Sentencing Process

The video aims to provide a general understanding of the sentencing process in Scotland as set out in the Council’s sentencing process guideline. 2.3 The Council has had a degree of success in its provision of other educational videos including: a general explanatory video; a series of short animated videos its guideline on sentencing young people; and more recently the two videos discussed in paragraph 1.6. Lot 1: The Supplier shall develop a video of around 6 - 7 minutes and an associated podcast of around 20 – 30 minutes. It is envisaged that the video would provide real-life footage (as opposed to animation) and include a combination of interview material alongside a voice-over of scripted explanatory material, and that the same oral material would be used to create the podcast. However, the Council is open to suggestion of other approaches where they can be supported.
