CON/028 – CONSTRUCTION PROJECT AT BARNA SQUARE, NEWTOWNABBEY

Tender description

10Nr. 3P2B General Needs Apartments, 9nr. 2P1B General Needs Apartments and 3Nr. 2P1B Wheelchair Accessible Apartments. The contract period will be 24 months and a Works Programme will form part of the quality submission. Works are scheduled to commence on site prior to 31st March 2025. The new build scheme must achieve ‘Secured By Design’ and Lifetime Homes accreditation. The current site comprises of a derelict 2-storey building which was previously utilised as a garden centre and refuelling depot. The scope of the Barna Square project in brief is the demolition of existing structures, establishment of levels and construction of 22 social apartments, plus associated services diversions/ installations, and site development works.
