Renovation and adaptation of the National Mining Museum Scotland's existing building to house museum collections and office space. This includes works such as roof repair, window replacement, plumbing, electrical system upgrades, and interior modifications to accommodate museum operations. Lot 1: The contract involves the renovation and adaptation of an existing building at the National Mining Museum Scotland. The work will include a variety of building and civil engineering activities, such as replacing windows with double glazing, removing gas boilers and radiators, installing electrical heaters, fire doors, toilets, flooring, false walls, plastering, plumbing, and conducting fixed wire testing. The project will also include the installation of new racking for museum collections, plasterboard work, screed repairs, and painting, ensuring the building is suitable for housing the museum's collection and office staff.
