Tender description

The contracted work will provide a comprehensive assessment and valuation of the socio-economic and natural capital contributions of wild Atlantic salmon in Ireland. It will combine ecological and economic evidence to inform future fisheries management decisions, using the latest methodologies from natural capital accounting, ecosystem service valuation, and scenario analysis. The scope encompasses baseline accounting of salmon stocks and their benefits, valuation under current and future conditions, evaluation of specific management scenarios (including more precautionary management), and the integration of results into practical policy recommendations and decision-support tools.
