The delivery of a third party solution for the undertaking of low value expenditure (up to £100k pa) on behalf of Middlesbrough Council.

Tender description

The Council wish to undertake a pilot project to test the merits of engaging a 3rd party to undertake low value procurements with a view to undertaking a compliant procurement process should the pilot be successful in delivering cashable and process savings. Given that this is a pilot it is not considered that a full procurement process would add value either to the authority or the supply market at this point. Lot 1: It is intended to undertake an initial 6 month pilot to prove the benefits of this approach, with a possible extension to 12 months should this addition time to prove the effectiveness of the pilot be required. The nature and payment mechanism for the contract is such that the value of the contract during the pilot will not exceed PCR2015 thresholds.
