Tender description

Wigan Council have a statutory duty under the provisions of Section 46 of the Public Health Act 1984 to arrange a funeral for a person who passes away within the Wigan Borough and next of kin, relatives or friends are unable to arrange their loved one's funeral. \r \r The Community Funeral Service is designed to ensure all individuals are treated with dignity and respect and service delivery is rooted in a dignified manner, linking in with the person's family, friends and neighbours to provide a funeral which is in keeping with the person's wishes.\r \r Further details and associated documentation relating to this opportunity can be found on the Chest procurement portal (www.the-chest.org.uk).
